| Description |
The research project is part of a larger project on the 'Multicultural
and Pluriform Society' and focusses specifically on the impact
of the national migration and immigrant policy, as a contextual
factor, on the participation of immigrants from Turkey. The case
of the Netherlands will be compared with that of Sweden, Germany,
Belgium and France, nation states that all have experienced immigration
from Turkey, and which show a differentiation in immigration and
immigrant policy. The research project tries to establish the
role of migration- and immigrant policy on participation of immigrants
from Turkey in the labour market of the receiving country and
on the demographic development of this immigrant grouping.
