Project

Attitudes towards the Netherlands and Belgium among Belgian and Dutch youth, and their explanations

Acronym _/ Project ID: 37
Start date 01/01/1999
End date 01/01/2003
Description

The aim of the research is to know more about the attitudes towards the Netherlands and Belgium among Belgian and Dutch youth and about their main determinants. There are two questions: What are the attitudes of Belgian youth towards the Netherlands and Dutch youth regarding Belgium compared to their attitudes towards their own country and other European Union countries? And what are the principal explanations for the individuals’ attitudes? The answers will be acquired through multivariate analyses of data from a survey among Belgian and Dutch secondary school students in 1999.
