| Description |
This project analysed recent (election) campaigns on the issue
of immigration and ethnicity by three radical populist parties,
namely, the Austrian Freedom Party (Haider), the Italian Northern
League and the Italian National Alliance. Data analysed include
parliamentary and local city council debates, political speeches,
party (election) campaign materials and publications, and television
debates. Focus on the role of these parties' discourses in the
construction of collective identity and in the manifestation of
racism.
