Description

ERCOMER was invited to participate in the organisation of a Study Centre on Ethnic and Minority Issues in Hungary and the Netherlands This Study Centre is placed at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies (NIAS) in the Humanities and Social Sciences .

 

Output
  • a first Dutch-Hungarian conference on Ethnic identity and social exclusion at NIAS, 13-14 June 1997,
  • a second Dutch-Hungarian conference on Immigration and minority policies at NIAS, 24-25 October 1997,
  • four thematic Dutch-Hungarian workshops at NIAS on the social construction of minorities, political mobilisation, opportunities and policies, and inclusion and exclusion.
  • a final Dutch-Hungarian conference at the College of Budapest, 15-17 October 1998 and
  • an edited book on Interethnic relations in Hungary and the Netherlands published in 2001.
