The main goal of my part in that research project is the analysis
of structural integration processes of immigrants and their
descendants into the major societies of EU member states. It
has to be calculated, whether differences in structural integration
(for example, education, employment, environment, family structure)
exist between the single EU member countries. Also changes in
structural integration by time has to be examined for the member
states which should be calculated cross-sectional as well as
(if possible) for cohorts. The statistical analyis bases on
the data of the EU-Labor Force Survey (= data extraction files
of EUROSTAT) and different national LFS data (British, Dutch,
and French LFS; German Mikrozensus; Swiss and Swedish population
registered data). The stress of the first data analysis was
the calculation of differences in education between natives
and migrants as well as their descendants. Further steps of
the quantitative analysis will be the analysis of unemployment-criterias
and family-factors applying methods of multivariate statistical
analysis. Thus, differences in integration processes could be
compared for the different European member states.
The results of our analysis will be published.
