Mirjam van Ewijk
	Research Associate
Mirjam van Ewijk is a medical and social anthropologist with research experience in the Caribbean, the USA, and the Netherlands. Her research interests are on (mental) health and social exclusion, particularly comparative research on the illness experiences of immigrants and refugees of (mental) health care systems in different European countries. She is currently working on a study of the experiences of TB-patients from different groups of immigrants (including asylum seekers) within the Dutch health care system, and the institutional reactions toward TB and other health hazards in migrant populations in the Netherlands.
